Both //durable// and design-forward

Healthcare environments continue to evolve, with growing demands around wellness, sustainability, durability, and flexibility − particularly as outpatient and ambulatory care continue to expand.

In these settings, flooring is exposed to constant foot traffic, rolling loads, varied care environments, and rigorous cleaning protocols. Large surface areas and diverse applications often call for flooring solutions that support long-term performance, hygiene, and design continuity.

At the University Hospital Münster, PURLINE 1500 fusion was selected for its combination of durability, resilience, and refined design. The bio-based resilient flooring features sand-and-stone-inspired visuals created for large-
scale healthcare spaces while supporting the demanding performance needs of modern healthcare environments.

Highly durable, resilient, wear-resistant, and safe

The bio based floor is highly wear-resistant and resilient to physical stress as well as exposure to chemical substances and aggressive liquids. It thus meets the high

hygiene standards and requirements for thorough disinfection in hospital settings. Thanks to its thermosetting properties, the bio-polyurethane flooring remains colorfast and dimensionally stable even when exposed to heat (e.g., sunlight). Its inherent resilience ensures that no permanent indentations form on its surface, such as those caused by point loads from heavy objects like beds or cabinets. The bio-floor reduces impact noise and is highly slip-resistant with an R 9 rating. In the event of a fire, it stands out for its low smoke emission—escape routes remain visible, and no toxic gases are produced.
