As a family-owned business, we’ve always taken our environmental responsibilities very seriously. That is why we invented the world’s first biobased polyurethane resilient floor covering and underlay systems. Our goal is to establish ourselves as the number one biobased polyurethane flooring manufacturer by 2030. The processes we are changing right now are designed with future production in mind.
A key goal is to operate successfully and responsibly on a consistent basis and to supply our customers with healthy, sustainable flooring solutions. In doing so, we aim to make an important contribution to society. The basis of decisions and actions is the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. Windmöller focuses on the choice of raw material and its development, global footprint, transparency, and eco-efficiency (currently SDG 3, 7, 8, 12 and 13)
We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint, increasing our sustainability activities, and advancing our environmental, social and ethical performance. In a few years, we will be able to make the following promise: If someone no longer needs our flooring or wants to replace it, we will take it back. We will recycle it and use the material for new products.
To support sustainability and responsible waste management, we are introducing the PURLINE ReLay take‑back program. Because PURLINE has been available in the U.S. for just 12 years—and features a technical lifespan of approximately 30 years—we do not yet expect returns from completed installations. As a result, this initiative concentrates on recycling installation waste from our bio-based polyurethane resilient flooring, helping reduce post‑installation material destined for landfill within the U.S.
We will provide recycling bags, at no charge, to our customers, making it easy for them to collect and store installation waste on-site or in their warehouse. Once the bag is filled, simply ship it to our Cartersville, GA warehouse. We hope that leading architecture and design firms who greatly value sustainability through the products they specify will encourage General Contractors and Flooring Contractors to participate in this PURLINE Take Back program.
Fill out the PURLINE Take Back form and a free recycling bag from PURLINE will be sent to you, which you can take to the job site or keep in in your warehouse.
Fill the bag with PURLINE bio-based flooring product waste following the program requirements supplied by Windmoeller Inc. customer service.
Once the bag is full contact customerservice@
Once your form is received, a free recycling bag will be sent to the participating GC or Flooring Contractor. All related records will be kept by PURLINE customer service.
