New Workspace for JACKS Beauty Line

In spring 2025, Berlin-based beauty brand JACKS Beauty Line relocated to a new office in the center of the city. Spanning just over 4,300 square feet, the space was designed to support a growing team while reflecting the brand’s approach to beauty, design, and responsibility.

Founded in 2011 by makeup artist Miriam Jacks, JACKS Beauty Line began with hand-painted makeup brushes and has since expanded into a full line of vegan-certified beauty products. Materials, ingredients, and production methods are considered carefully — not as a marketing statement, but as part of how the brand operates day to day.

That same mindset carried into the design of the new workplace.

Interior Choices with Intention

When planning the interior, the team looked for materials that aligned with both the visual direction of the space and their broader values around health and environmental responsibility. Flooring became a key consideration — not just in appearance, but in how it would perform in an active, open office.

The final selection was PURLINE by wineo, a bio-based polyurethane resilient flooring chosen for its balance of material transparency, durability, and design flexibility. The flooring is free from added chlorine, plasticizers, and solvents, and supports a low-emission indoor environment — qualities that were important to the team as they planned a space intended for daily use.

“Sustainability is something we think about across our products and our workplace,” the JACKS Beauty Line team shared. “We were looking for a flooring solution that felt considered — visually and materially — and PURLINE fit naturally into that conversation.”

Designed for Everyday Use

Open office environments demand surfaces that can handle frequent movement, shifting layouts, and daily wear without becoming a maintenance burden. In this setting, PURLINE’s resilient construction supports long-term use while remaining easy to clean with simple, low-impact maintenance protocols.

The floor retains its appearance under heavy use, resists indentation and staining, and does not require aggressive cleaning agents — an advantage for teams looking to maintain a clean, professional environment without adding operational complexity.

For a brand with an active, collaborative culture, the flooring needed to keep pace without drawing attention to itself.

A Calm, Natural Foundation

Visually, the flooring was selected to complement the interior rather than define it. Miriam Jacks chose the Fashion Oak Cream design, a soft wood visual with subtle grain and warm, neutral tones. The finish brings a sense of calm to the space, supporting focus and comfort while working across a range of lighting conditions.

“Design plays an important role in how we work,” Jacks noted. “We wanted the space to feel natural and modern, without being loud. The flooring adds warmth and balance, and it integrates easily with the rest of the interior.”

The result is a workspace that feels cohesive and functional — shaped by material choices that prioritize longevity, visual restraint, and thoughtful design.
